The printer was a snap to setup with very clear instructions. Went from box to printing in less than an hour. Great first 3d printer with high-end features. There was an issue with the SD card that shipped with the printer not being recognized by the card reader, but Creality sent a replacement card and it worked like a champ. Not only that, but the printer included everything needed to get it going, so no scrounging for tools. Overall a great experience with a company that stands behind their product.
This is my very first 3d printer that i bought or even use, my experienced in 3d printing before this is none and my Experience so far has been very good. It was very easy to setup only four screws to put on and piece together the reel holder and i was done . Everything took less than 30 minutes before i was printing my first print. You Have to make sure the bed is aligned properly and the prints will come out great. It comes with 250 grams of white pla to use. I am amazed at the quality of prints that i am getting from this printer. Price seems kind of steep for my first printer but the ease of use and only four screws to piece it together is all worth it. Instruction manuals on how to slice and use machinery is very basic but everything was so self explanatory. Wish i could get my hands on cr-x dual extruder or cr-10s or higher next, very impressed so far with this creality product. I would definately recommend
Print quality is good. The printer runs VERY QUIET for a 3d printer - a whisper from the filament fan and one belt motor whine in the back seem to be most of its noise. Some of the wires do tend to lean in towards the bed - so you'll need to bend them a bunch to get them to stay out of the way. The printer is SOLID and stable and strong. You literally bolt the U bar onto the base - and hook up the XYZ power cables (a tad confusing) - switch the power to the 115V or 220V (not shown in documentation) - do a few easy steps setting up a few other parts - stick in the provided PLA. Not a lot of steps.
The Card reader works great. Tiny little smart card goes into a USB adapter provided and hooks up to my computer just fine. It read / writes like a dream and pops into the printer well. Navigating and selecting your files is easy too.
